Control Clin Trials 1996；17（1）：1‐12.症例5-1-2 側方加圧根管充填症例5-1-3 垂直加圧根管充填a症例5-1-2a　治療前。b症例5-1-2b　メインポイント試適。c症例5-1-2c　アクセサリーポイント挿入。d症例5-1-2d　根管充填後。a症例5-1-3a　治療前。b症例5-1-3b　マスターコーン試適。c症例5-1-3c　ダウンパック後。d症例5-1-3d　バックパック後。この論文から言えること・わかること　術後疼痛・長期予後・根管充填の質に関して、ウォームガッタパーチャー法と側方加圧根管充填法の間では差は見られなかったが、オーバーエクステンションはウォームガッタパーチャー法のほうが起こりやすかった。ウォームガッタパーチャー法にもいろいろな方法があり、できる限り根尖から充填材が出ないような配慮が可能な充填法を選択すべきである。特に意図的に押し出す充填法は推奨されない。正確な作業長決定と根管形成中の根尖部破壊の回避、そして軟化ガッタパーチャーの適切な充填を行うことで、オーバーエクステンションは避けることができる。
